Charlie did it. Then
R80o. R80o sent it to
Diana and Diana sent it to
karmacomedian and me. Here's mine:
1. If you could live the life of any person, whether it be a contemporary movie star, historical figure or even a fictional character, who would it be and why?
I'm not Buddhist, but then again, I'm not anything. Still, I would live the life of Buddha. Seeking enlightenment seems so noble, so pure and like such a conscious way to live. Notice I said "Buddha" and not "Buddhist monk" because Buddha is dead and it's still possible to be a buddhist monk and that just wouldn't work for me because I need stuff and sex and self-indulgence and luxuries and to ungraciously suffer fools which is so not a Buddhist thing.
2. Think about your late teens to early twenties. What is your favorite event, adventure or memory from that period and why?
I had been driving all night. It was the first time I had ever driving overnight by myself. It was a little after 5 o'clock in the morning. The air was cool and all my windows were down. I had the volume on my stereo turned up as far as it would go and, happily, 2 of my speakers were working. I was speeding through the country on a road I had driven many times during the day. The sun started to rise over the fields and the pine trees. I felt so free, and I think it was the first time I had experienced pure, unencumbered joy as an adult.
3. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken? Did it pay off?
I left the comfort and safety of corporate jobs with benefits and a regular paycheck and struck out on my own. I will let you know how it works out when I know.
4. If you could download a particular skill or ability (like they do in The Matrix) what would it be and why?
Man. Well, if I could pick anything in the world, even those things that are outside the realm of possibility, it would be the ability to read minds or create artistic masterpieces. Within the realm of possibility, I think I would download languages. How cool would it be to be able to speak a couple dozen languages?
5. Peanut butter: chunky or smooth? And what do you pair it with for the perfect sandwich?
Chunky! Paired with grape jelly and between two slices of the softest, whitest bread I can find. Cut into triangles so that I may eat the corners first.
6. R80o's Bonus Question: LifeKu. Write a simple haiku that best describes you. OR - MovieKu. Write a simple haiku that best describes your favorite movie.
i can't do haiku
they end up sounding like what
a rainman would do
or
lebowski is cool
he wanted his rug back and
nothing else would do
(Plus, I always make the damn things rhyme because I suck.)
Maybe you would like to do it, too? If so:
1 - Leave a comment below, saying you want to be interviewed. The questions are different every time. I will make up your questions if you volunteer.
2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 - You'll include this explanation so that this may spread, like a disease, over blogs everywhere.
5 - You'll ask other people five questions, of your choosing, when they want to be interviewed.
You up to, buddy? Or are ya chicken?
